Polycarbonate tags that survive site abuse
Industrial-grade QR plates withstand impacts, grime and weather so asset IDs stay readable on plant, tools and towers.
Core features
Site Tracer locks every tool and machine to a durable QR asset tag, so teams can pull documentation, track inspections and reduce losses without slowing down the job.
Industrial-grade QR plates withstand impacts, grime and weather so asset IDs stay readable on plant, tools and towers.
Scan once to open a secure documentation page for each asset — user guides, service logs and compliance files in seconds.
Assign and track a single code that follows the asset across sites, reducing confusion when teams and contractors change.
Surface expiry dates and inspection status at the point of scan, so compliance risks are spotted before work starts.
Know what is on site and in use, cutting down on replacements, over-hire and the hidden costs of missing kit.
Export ready evidence in minutes. Every scan builds a digital trail for plant managers and compliance teams.
HOW IT WORKS
Site Tracer keeps control simple: durable tags on equipment, instant scans for identity and documents, and a clear compliance trail your teams can trust.
Why site managers move faster
Plant controllers can confirm LOLER and inspection status in seconds, reduce unnecessary hire, and prove who last used each asset without chasing paperwork.
Fix a rugged polycarbonate QR plate to each asset. It’s built for knocks, weather, and daily site abuse.
Any phone scan opens the asset page with its ID, inspection history, and documentation in one place.
Track who used what, spot expiry risks early, and keep audits tight across every site and depot.
Operational impact
Built for UK construction teams who need immediate proof, not paper trails. Scan once, keep everything visible, and keep hire decisions grounded.

Practical use cases
Purpose-built for UK construction operations. Each tag links the right documentation and asset code to the tool or machine that needs it.
Know exactly where each excavator, dumper, or access platform is assigned, with a scan on arrival or handover.
Issue, return, and responsibility are tied to each asset. No more missing grinders or re-ordering because records are unclear.
Scan the tag to pull the latest inspection record instantly, keeping lifting equipment compliant and ready.
Track start/end dates, condition notes, and site location to stop over-hire and avoid disputes.
One scan gives a clean record trail for audits, toolbox talks, or site inspections without chasing paperwork.

Founder story
Stephen James Conway founded Site Tracer after years running RC Frame and Groundworks packages and watching the same failure repeat: missing tools, outdated registers, and compliance blind spots that drained time and hire spend. He built this platform to end the operational gaps he faced on active sites — not in theory.
He repeatedly saw the same issue across RC Frame and Groundworks teams: poor tool traceability, out-of-date documentation, and over-hire caused by manual systems and fragmented spreadsheets. Software-only attempts ignored the pace and pressure of live sites, leaving operations exposed.
Site Tracer was created to embed accountability directly onto each asset with durable QR tags and live documentation — a system designed by someone who ran the site, not just the software.
“Construction loses money in the gaps between paperwork, people, and plant. I built Site Tracer to lock documentation to the tool itself, so teams can act instantly and stay compliant without extra admin.”
